What do they do?
Sessions focus a little closer on a player's technical skills to compliment their squad training or group lessons.
How long is each session?
Sessions can be booked for varying lengths of time. A 1 hour session is the norm, although 6 and under players often start on 30-45mins.
What does it cost?
Cost varies according to the level of the coach, ranging from £18 to £28 (per hour)
What do I need to bring?
Your individual tennis coach will guide this. Normally just a bottle of water, but may be a skipping rope & goals folder when requested by the coach.
What happens if I need to cancel?
If you cancel with at least 48 hrs notice, there is no cancellation fee. If you provide 24hrs notice you will be expected to pay 50% of the lesson cost. If you cancel with less than 24hrs notice you will be expected to pay for the whole lesson.
What happens in bad weather?
If you do not hear from your individual coach, assume the lesson is ON. Your coach will contact you directly if the conditions are not playable.

What do they do?
They will learn strokes, technique, tactics using the LTA games-based approach. If 10 and under, this will be Mini Tennis.
How many players in a group?

How long is each session?
Usually 1 hour
How long is a term?
Usually 11 or 12 weeks
What does it cost?
Players pay at the start of term for the whole course. Cost will depend on the length of term, but equates approximately to £8 per session.
What do I need to bring?
Bottle of water. All other equipment is provided.
What happens in bad weather?
There will be a note under weather status on the front page of this website. Please check this to find out if your session is running. All sessions that are cancelled will be made up at another time when possible. There are no refunds.
PLEASE NOTE:
Refunds will not be given if a session is missed due to your decision not to attend, including parties, travel, holidays, illness and religious festivals. Also please do not ask if your child can do a 'make up' session due to a missed lesson. This cannot be done as I keep all sessions within the LTA player/coach ratio guidelines. You would not be happy if two extra people kept turning up for one of your child's lessons thus upping the ratio.
If you can't find the answer to your question, please drop me an email, I will be glad to help.
What does my child need to bring?
Packed lunch, plenty of water, cap and sun tan cream if appropriate.
Rackets can be provided although many children bring their own.
Please do not send your children with food that contains nuts or nut traces.
What does my child need to wear?
Loose, comfortable clothing and trainers.
How many children will be in a group?
There will be a maximum ratio of coaches to children of 1:6 (often better!) Although children will be in their small groups for some activities, groups may merge for certain games.
What happens in wet weather?
In the event of bad weather, the camp will take shelter in the club pavilion or play table tennis or board games in side. If it is light drizzle or showers we will stay outdoors as long as it is safe. Therefore please dress suitably. During the six weeks of summer camps in 2011 only 2.5 days were interrupted by rain.

What will my child be doing?
Each day will comprise of some general co-ordination skills, some tennis specific skills, some technical tennis coaching, some games and some matchplay. Each day will focus specifically on a different area of the game so, over a week's course, your child will learn forehands, backhands, approach shots and volleys, serves and returns, as well as basic tactics, scoring and rules. The final day we will hold a tournament where they can put in to practice all their new skills! Winners receive prizes and every child receives a certificate.
Does my child need to have played tennis before?
The course is open to players of all levels including complete beginners. Groups will be split according to ability as well as age and so every child should feel comfortable in their group.
Will my child only play tennis?
The course is a tennis course rather than a multi sports course, although there may be opportunities to play other games. At lunchtimes, staff will arrange other activities such as football, rounders, and arts and crafts.
Who are the coaches?
All our coaches are LTA or PTR qualified coaches. All hold a recent Criminal Records check and all hold first aid certificates.
